Our host location: Mount Princeton Hot Springs Resort

Our host location is Mount Princeton Hot Springs Resort, located three hours from Denver, and at the foot of the Collegiate peaks of the Rocky Mountains. These Colorado hot springs are located in Nathrop, Colorado between the towns of Buena Vista and Salida. Indulge in the multiple pools fed by 100% natural hot springs, treat yourself at the spa, and enjoy plant-based meals that provide the nourishment you'll need for yoga and hiking.

The hot springs waters at Mount Princeton Hot Springs Resort are 100% natural and odorless. The hot springs waters bubble out of the ground at 120 degrees at the source. As an overnight guest, you receive complimentary access to the hot springs during your stay including the day you check in and the day you check out. You may also utilize the Spa & Club throughout your stay. Take advantage of the Juice Bar located in the Spa & Club and restore your energy with a complete assortment of fresh juices, smoothies, salads, sandwiches and specialty cocktails.

The Historic Bath House at Mount Princeton Hot Springs Resort was built in the mid 1800’s just after the Civil War. Enjoy the Soaking Pool, Exercise Pool and the hot springs in Chalk Creek where you can create your own private hot springs and control your temperature. Open late at night, theses hot springs are great to sit and gaze at the stars.

Find a more quiet harmony and peacefulness in the Relaxation Pool. Reserved for adult guests, the relaxation pool offers a less-frequented sanctuary.  The Relaxation Pool is maintained at about 99 degrees Fahrenheit. Lounge chairs surround the Relaxation Pool, inviting you to lay back and take in the fresh mountain air.

A must do at Mount Princeton Hot Springs Resort are the hot springs pools located right in midst of the cool rushing waters of Chalk Creek. Each pool is fed by its own natural geothermal hot spring that is bubbling up into the actual creek bed and into majestic circles of stones that create natural pools of warmth and rejuvenation.

Open to all guests, each pool is approximately one foot in depth with a comfortable sandy bottom and sparkling appeal. Simply remove a few stones to allow cooler water to rush in and cool your soul. Each pool offers different temperature ranges and a unique view of the surrounding mountains. Please note that these hot springs pools are occasionally closed if Chalk Creek is running too high.

    Common Retreat Myths and FAQs

I need to be an expert at yoga to attend

This is a yoga retreat, so you will have the option to practice yoga every day (some days twice), however, the sessions will be appropriate for all levels of students - including beginners. Carrie’s style of teaching is fun and lighthearted, with a strong focus on alignment, making classes more workshop-like than traditional power yoga classes. There is always the option to skip sessions if you prefer to spend your time participating in another activity. However, we think you will be happy you did if you choose to participate.

I must wear expensive yoga clothes

For the retreat, you should dress casual and comfortable, but there’s no need to run out to buy a new wardrobe. Your definition of casual, and any expression of you, is welcome and appropriate.

I must give up coffee, alcohol, and anything fun

The Juice Bar and Bar in the lodge restaurant is available if you wish to indulge in a morning coffee, or sip excellent wines or local beer in the evening. All purchases at the café can be charged to your room. There will be no shortage of fun as we explore the wonderful activities Colorado has to offer.
