For my December of Giving, and to celebrate Colorado Gives Day, I'm donating to Food Bank of the Rockies and Denver Rescue Mission on December 8.
I selected these two organizations, because now more than ever, there are people in the community who are food insecure, and/or need shelter.
Food Bank of the Rockies serves 30 counties in Colorado and the entire state of Wyoming, and helps families thrive by efficiently procuring and distributing more than 155,000 meals each day to our neighbors facing hunger.
Denver Rescue Mission has been serving the most vulnerable in our community for more than 128 years. At multiple locations throughout the community, they help restore the lives of people experiencing homelessness and addiction through emergency services, rehabilitation, transitional programs, and community outreach. I directed my donation to go towards the Harvest Farm that provides the opportunity for up to 72 men to achieve self-sufficiency through the New Life Program.
